Matthews, Timothy J. Murphy, David Reif Tim Murphy called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. He advised the Committee that there were three- (3) openings on the Finance Committee, all for three- (3) year terms beginning July 1, 2011 and ending on June 30, 2014. To date, only one candidate existed, that being Brian Laffond, a current member of the Finance Committee seeking reappointment. Mr. Matthews moved to appoint Brian Laffond to the Finance Committee for a term of July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2014. The motion was seconded by Mr. Reif. On vote, motion carried 3 in favor, 0 opposed. The Committee then discussed identification of potential members to fill the remaining vacancies. Each member agreed to identify and contact potential candidates. The Agenda called for the Committee to consider re-appointment of Mr. Chris Menard and Mr. Jay Simeone. Both were interviewed, separately. At the conclusion of those interviews, the Committee then considered the talent bank application of Peter Beardmore. Mr. Beardmore was then interviewed remotely. After a brief discussion Ms. Brzozoski made a Motion to appoint Mr. Menard and Mr. Simeone to three year terms, and Mr. Beardmore to fulfill a a two year vacancy, all commencing upon their swearing in with the Town Clerk. Ms. Emkey seconded and the Motion was approved unanimously. Ms. Emkey that moved to approve the draft minutes, as updated, to be typed and filed by the chair. Ms. Brzozosku seconded and the motion was approved.
